Our Mission
Our mission is formulation, and regulation of policies and programs by co-ordinating all stakeholders with the objectives to develop competent citizens in Western Province through the education system adopting innovative and modern approaches, to develop sports skills and personality of the community, to enhance social development through upliftment of national culture and conducting programs which motivate the traditional and modern arts and to provide efficient and effective service for public by using information technology.
Our Main Duties/Responsibility
- Organizing necessity to uplift the Education level of the student in Western Province,Contributing to school development and Administration in Provincial school
- Organizing the community to develop sports ability,Awareness and Training developing sports infrastructure,Organizing sports competitions,providing financial support and ascending the partners.
- Contributing to increase the cultural & aesthetic affairs of Encouraging the community in western province artist by contributing to Arts Institution familiarizing the cultural events to need generation
- Taking miscellaneous steps to make the youth in western province healthy law aside leaders
This Ministry has been named as the Provincial Ministry of Education, Sports & Youth Affairs, Culture & Arts and Information Technology under the Western Provincial Council for the year 2015.
